Sprint and HTV have announced the two companies have teamed up to bring the second device designed for 5G to customers in early 2019.
The 5G Mobile Smart Hub device, which currently has no name, will connect to 5G to deliver data and multi-media.
“We’re excited to continue building our 5G device portfolio and announce another way our customers can be among the first to experience Sprint 5G next year,” said Dr. John Saw, Sprint chief technology officer. “This innovative product will allow customers on the go, at work or at home to enjoy Sprint 5G on multiple devices with incredibly fast connectivity for content sharing, mobile gaming, entertainment and so much more.”
The device launch will pair with Sprint’s 5G rollout across nine American cities in early 2019, including: Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, New York, Phoenix and Washington, D.C. Additional markets are currently in the works.
