Hold onto your wallets America, the four big wireless carriers are meeting at the White House today to talk about the potential of 5G.
AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint confirmed they were attending and Verizon refused to comment. The White House also didn’t offer any confirmation.
While details are murky, CNET reports it’s an effort for the Trump administration to better understand how 5G works and what it can do for the economy. Reports also indicate Trump is mulling building out a national 5G network to keep up with the Chinese. Tariffs are also likely to be a part of the agenda.
