VR Fitness Program Puts Floyd Mayweather In Charge Of Your Workouts

There’s now more than one way for Floyd Mayweather to kick your ass. Soon you’ll be able to visit your local Mayweather Boxing & Fitness-enabled gym and workout under the guidance of a man in a position to know how to get the most out of every workout.

The Virtual Reality-based program spans 12 weeks and includes intense cardio and skill-based workouts. The VR controls record speed punch intensity and calories burned. The program made its debut this week at CES 2018.

“Boxing gave me a platform to become a world-class athlete, and I’m using those skills to build a global fitness platform that will help people to train better and smarter,”  Floyd Mayweather said at the program’s launch in Las Vegas. “I’ve seen how the fitness industry has evolved; and now we’re taking it to the next level, not only by incorporating the workouts that I used throughout my career, but also by investing in cutting-edge technology and making that a core part of our offering.”

Mayweather’s new VR venture joins other popular fitness technology like Peleton, that gives consumers the experience of one-on-one, world-class training wherever they are.

No word on weather Connor McGregor has purchased one of the systems yet.
